Process Update

Earlier this month, members of the Board of Directors of the Indian River Medical Center and the Indian River County Hospital District Board of Trustees made reverse due diligence visits to the four health systems chosen as finalists in the process to select a partner for IRMC. These visits to Cleveland Clinic, Orlando Health, HCA and Adventist Health System gave IRMC board members and IRCHD trustees greater exposure to each of the four finalists and provided information to further inform their ultimate decision concerning a preferred partner.

The IRMC Board of Directors will be holding a public meeting Monday, January 22, at 4 p.m. in the Board Room at Indian River Medical Center so that those members who were able to attend these visits can report back to members who were not.

The Hospital District Board of Trustees held a similar meeting on January 17.

Following these meetings, final proposals from each finalist will be submitted to Juniper Advisory. Juniper will prepare a detailed summary for presentation to members of both boards, who will then each select a preferred partner in separate votes.

The presentation will take place January 30 at 9 a.m. at the Intergenerational Recreation Center, 1590 9th St SW, Vero Beach. The Board meetings will occur separately after the presentation, with the IRMC Board of Directors meeting at the IRMC Board Room at 1 p.m., and the Trustees meeting at 1 p.m. at the District offices at 3730 Seventh Terrace, Suite 204-B, Vero Beach.
